The Journey Fund was created to honor a special Warrior Spirit: 

GrandMaster J. Michael Amodeo

Master Betty Amodeo had joined GM Amodeo in a 

martial Arts journey that started in 1987  and 

continued until his death in 2006. Together they  opened Gateway Martial Arts in 2002. Rather than close Gateway in 2006, Master Betty Amodeo continued GM Amodeo's vision  with the

help of Master Denis Ogle until 2021.

The location had to close and 

Master Jason Flores continued the vision until 2024

at a new location.

The creation of the Journey Fund in 2009 secured

GM Amodeo's dream to help students find their

Warrior Spirits through Martial Arts.
